Why Brat Earring?

My daughter was ecstatic when she got her ears pierced at 9. She watched through the shop window, eager for it to open. However, she didn’t anticipate the long healing process ahead. Wanting her to have the best experience, I splurged on the most hypoallergenic, high-quality earrings I could find. Despite this, her ears wouldn’t heal. Months passed, and we reached a low point when a large blister formed on the back of her earlobes.
 
After trying all sorts of hypoallergenic metals without success, we switched to plastic posts. Suddenly, her ears started to heal, and wearing earrings became enjoyable for her.
 
The next challenge was finding fun and stylish plastic post earrings. When we couldn’t find any, we took matters into our own hands and founded Brat Earring. At Brat Earring, our goal is to celebrate uniqueness and a playful spirit. We encourage girls to express themselves with sass and joy, free from worry. Wash your hands first, because seriously you don’t want to transfer grime from your hands onto your earrings. Grab a small bowl and fill it with lukewarm water.  Add a couple of drops of dish soap.   Soak your earring for about 5 to 10 minutes. You can use a soft brush if needed to gently scrub away stubborn dirt but remember you’re not conducting an archaeological dig. Rinse them under cool water, make sure you don’t lose them down the drain.  Pat them dry with a clean cloth or let them air dry on a towel.  All clean!

Because they are!  Plastic posts are more delicate than metal. But that is also why they are so comfortable and light!  Put the backs on gently.  Treat them like a delicate flower.
